So why should I write yet another blog on Jesus and the word of God? What makes me qualified to take on this endeavor?
- I mean, how many people truly read these things?
- Do people benefit from these?
- I’m not a writer, what can I share?
- I don’t know a lot of people. So who is going to read these?
These are the questions I’m asking God. But the only thing I can think of to say to any of these questions is… Who is God to me? Is He my LORD? Is He the love of my life? Will I do whatever He asks of me?
1 Corinthians 10:31 says ‘Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
It’s Not About Me…
It’s about Following Jesus! And doing what He asks of us. And well… I feel that God is calling me to share more about what I am learning about Him and my relationship with Him to others. It’s about sharing what was freely given to me, with the world! It’s not even about the “Who will read this” or the fact that I am not a writer. It’s not about me.
It’s about getting His word out there!
- He shows me what to share.
- Revealing His great Mysteries to me and to you through His Word.
- His Word is Alive and Active! It brings Freedom to those who seek it.
- It’s about sharing Jesus and His revelations with the world.
- If people aren’t given the chance to hear and make a choice, how can they ever be free?
So many questions.
We all have so many questions about God and His Word, The Holy Bible. And so many people think and feel that “THEY” have “The” answer. Well, they don’t. And neither do I. But I do know someone who does have the answers… God.
He is the great know it all. Not in a stuffy, egotistic, pompous, prideful way. But in the, “Ask me anything and I’ll tell you the answer, because I AM. I’ve made everything, I see everything, I hear everything and Oh Yeah, I am the… wait for it… the ‘Know Everything’, God! My Father God is so Amazing!!!
So what am I going to write about?
I’m really not sure what these post will be about in the future. I do know that they will be about many different things. Insight into parts of Scripture. Visions that God has shown me. Testimonies of His Great work and power in my life, and the lives of those around me. Who knows what else? Well yeah Dad, Jesus, and Holy Spirit know. But as for me? Well… Let’s just say, this should prove to become a very interesting time for us all. Some of the post will be short and some may be, well, rather long. But in any case I’m sure that God will show up and touch someone’s heart and life. Because He is Faithfull and this page is for the furthering of His Kingdom!
‘But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33
Incredible words from the most incredible man to ever walk the earth. Jesus. More than just a great man or prophet. This is God in the flesh! John said that Jesus is “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14) Jesus IS the living Word of God. And as the “Word” He is God. And as God we should listen to whatever He says.
So let’s start here.
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33)
This is what everything we think, do, and say should hinge upon. Seeking His kingdom FIRST in EVERYTHING! What does that look like? Well I really can’t answer that for you. Because it is going to be slightly different for everyone. I do know that for me it’s trying my best to forget who and what I used to be before I met Jesus. It’s trying to think of what He would have me do, hopefully, in every situation in my life. It’s putting His desire BEFORE MINE! Looking for and showing, His love and compassion in and for every person I meet. It’s striving for “Righteousness” in my life each and every day. Not for me or for what I might gain, but For His Glory, and for the building of His kingdom for He alone is Worthy!
One day at a time.
This week let’s try and “Seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness” first! Ask God in the beginning of your day to show you more of His great love and compassion. Not just for those around you, but for you as well. You can’t give what you don’t have and you can’t keep what you don’t give away. So receive the love and compassion that God the Father has for you, and in turn, show that same love and compassion to every one you meet.
God bless you all in all that you do this and every day, in Jesus name. Amen.
